Today Daviess County Audubon Society consists of ~130 members: 50 members are active in the organization and the rest are considered subscribers who are interested in the Audubon mission.  Ten newsletters are published each year.  The chapter meets monthly from September through June.   The same as from its inception, funding is principally from a portion of dues paid by members to The National Audubon Society.  To supplement the treasury, the chapter conducts bird seed sales and solicits donations for sponsorship of events.  The chapter strives to meet the standards set forth by The National Audubon Society and we are considered a leader in the state of Kentucky among other chapters.   We have developed a chapter history from interviews with long-standing members of the Daviess County Audubon Society.
