The Daviess County Audubon Society is mourning the loss of two of the club's beloved founders: Mildred "Millie" Powell on 19 April 2007 and Albert L. "Bert" Powell on 22 February 2008.  This photo of Bert and Millie was taken at the dedication of the Powell Bird Blind in November 2001.  The bird blind, built of straw bales and adobe, was constructed by the members of DCAS and is named in honor of Albert L. "Bert" and Mildred "Millie" Powell.
